Football is competitive. Players compete for a place in the team, teams work together to win matches and become champions, clubs want to be the best clubs in all tournaments to show how successful they are.
But to compete, players must be true go-getters. It is not enough to just have talent, be a technically skilled player or understand the tactics the coach wants to use against opponents. By being physically strong and combative, the player can dominate his opponent and the team as a whole will dominate the match. By putting pressure on opponents, the team will control the match and most likely win. Physical strength is also related to the player’s ability to compete for possession of the ball and maintain his/her composure. No one wants to see a player get a red card because he/she is not in control of his/her behavior. All this means that players need to work on their physical, technical and mental approach to the game, because combining all these aspects of football will make them a much better player.
